Mildred Pierce exceeded all my expectations. Kate Winslet - give her all the awards already. Hard to believe anyone could be that deluded about her daughter but damn if she didn’t sell it.
Rachel Evan Wood was excellently vile but the girl that played young Veda is the one who made me want to tap into my inner child abuser.
What impressed me most was how extremely well cast ALL of the parts were, from the smallest to the biggest. I loved the woman who worked at the employment agency. And Hope Davis! OMG. I hope she gets nominated. I could listed to her all day long.
